Welcome!

A little about me…

I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California, and went to undergraduate college at California State University, Fresno. Go Bulldogs!  I was accepted into several dental schools in California and chose to go to the University of Southern California because of its excellent dental school reputation.  Go Trojans!  After graduation and licensure, I attended and completed a hospital dentistry residency program whose focus was treating medically compromised patients in a hospital setting.  It was a very rewarding and intellectually stimulating experience.

My career has primarily been in the private practice of dentistry, and I was the dental director of a federally qualified health center for several years.  I enjoy taking many hours of continuing education every year to stay current and hone my skills.  It is very important to me to be a lifetime learner!

I am a Life Member of the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association, and have served on the board of the Redwood Empire Dental Society for years, as well as serving on numerous boards throughout my career.

I love the technical, and artistic elements of dentistry, as well as making and maintaining a person’s mouth healthy, functional, and beautiful again.  But it is the personal connection with my patients that I enjoy most.  I feel privileged to have treated and to continue to treat generations of families!

Most importantly, I am truly blessed with my wife, Kathy, of over 45 years, and our 3 adult children and their families including our first grandchild!

Rounding out the clan are three dogs, and 3 grand dogs.  For fun, I do dentistry (this is not a typo), walk, travel, read, and truly enjoy being with my wife, family and pups.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope to make your oral health better!
